
Mark Hartsuch, USA saxophonist and producer, has made a significant impact on the music scenes in both the United States and India. Mark graduated from the University of North Texas where he was a featured soloist in the Grammy nominated, "One O'clock Lab Band." Beginning in 2018. Mark Hartsuch created horn arrangements and played saxophone for Grammy and Oscar award-winning artist, AR Rahman, in his live performances "AR Rahman Live." While living in Los Angeles, California, Mark played with Johnny Mathis, Clay Aiken, Jacques Lesure, Marvin "Smitty" Smith, Steve Vai, Jordan Rudess, Vinnie Coliauta, Grego Borlai, Marco Minneman, Mr. Eazi, and more.
In 2021, Mark moved to India. After moving, he founded "MaMoGi" with bassist Mohini Dey and drummer Gino Banks. He composed and produced their record "MaMoGi II" The band has performed at international jazz festivals such as Enter Enea in Poznan, Poland and Timișoara Jazz Festival in Timișoara, Romania as well as Oddball Festival in Mumbai, India. Most recently they played 2 sold out shows at the Blue Note NYC and are set to play Blue Note Shanghai and Beijing in May. Mark Hartsuch also founded a duo project with India drummer Darshan Doshi. In August of 2023, they produced their first album “Better than Sax,” which was met with rave reviews from the Indian press and global audiences. Since that time they have had several all India tours as well as a featured performance in the world famous Capetown Jazz Festival in Capetown, South Africa appearing alongside global artists like Mononeon, Moonchild, Yusef Dayes, Gretchen Parlato and more.
In May of 2024, Darshan and Mark went back to the studio to record their second album this time in Nashville, Tennessee with the one and only Mark Dobson, known for his work with legendary rock and country artists like Keith Urban. Darshan and Mark’s primary aim is to continue to dive into the world of jazz electronic fusion and to discover the depths of collaboration between the cultures of India and the United States.

The 52nd Street saxophone is a professional instrument and comes unlacquered for a truly vintage appearance. It is an exceptionally responsive horn in all registers and produces a big, fat sound with precise intonation. A larger bell and specifically-placed rolled-style tone holes contribute to the sound qualities of this instrument that many compare to some of the great vintage horns of the past. This model includes both an "S" and "M" neck, developed with Bob Mintzer, and features our DS mechanism to provide players with versatility and unmatched playability.
