Adrian Żachowski is one of Poland’s leading young tubists, recognized for his versatility as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral performer, and educator. Throughout his musical training, he has received more than thirty-six prizes and distinctions at national and international competitions, establishing himself as an outstanding representative of his generation. He graduated with distinction from the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków, where he completed his Master’s degree in Tuba Performance. His exceptional artistic achievements led to his appointment to the orchestra of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera while still pursuing his undergraduate studies. Since 2020, he has served as Principal Tuba of the company, performing with one of the country’s most prestigious musical institutions and collaborating with distinguished conductors, soloists, and artists from around the world. A dedicated advocate for the tuba as a solo and chamber instrument, he actively promotes the instrument through performances and educational initiatives. Alongside his performing career, he is also committed to teaching and currently works as a tuba and euphonium instructor at the secondary music school level, sharing his experience and passion with the next generation of musicians. Through his artistic and pedagogical activities, Adrian Żachowski continues to inspire young brass players while contributing to the growing recognition of the tuba as a versatile and expressive concert instrument.
