Carlo Alfonso is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer known for his expressive sound and electrifying versatility. A true musical storyteller, Carlo moves effortlessly between saxophone, piano, flute, clarinet, and EWI — blending jazz, Latin, Afro-Cuban, and African-rooted rhythms with a modern edge.
Born to a Mexican mother and Cuban father, and having grown up across different countries, Carlo brings a global perspective to his music. Now based in Los Angeles, he’s performing, recording, and shaping his debut album “Jazz Who?” — a bold statement redefining the boundaries of contemporary jazz and celebrating its deep Afro-Latin heritage.
