Colin Elmore, an Dallas native joined the U.S. Navy Fleet Bands as a Tuba Instrumentalist in the fall of 2023. Prior to joining the Fleet Bands Colin was a masters student at Texas Christian University studying under Dr. Clay Garrett and holds holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Texas A&M University where he studied under Dr. Jeff Baker. Colin is currently stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii with the U.S. Pacific Fleet Band. In the Pacific Fleet Band Colin performs in their Ceremonial Band, Wind Ensemble, Harbor Brass Quintet and the Big Wave Brass Band. Outside of his military band engagements Colin maintains an active freelance schedule performing with the Kaimuki Brass Quintet as well as serving as a substitute tuba for both the Royal Hawaiian Band and Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Colin was proud to be selected as a S.E. Shires Rising artist in 2023 and performs on a Eastman 836S 6/4 CC Tuba.
