
Eduardo Martín is tuba soloist in the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Born in Tenerife, where he began his musical studies in the music band of La Esperanza, his hometown, and then went on to study at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias, and still doing his studies he began playing with the OST in 2012. Since then, he has held the position.
Mr. Martin holds a bachelor 's degree in music from CSMC. His principal teachers include J. Corviniano Díaz and David Llácer. He has also studied with Gene Pokorny, Prof. Walter Hilgers, Pablo Fernández and Jonathan Gawn.
Currently, he collaborates with different orchestras in Europe, and also, he actively participates in different festivals giving masterclasses to students from different parts of the world, playing recitals, but really focused on chamber music.
For the last two years, he has been a member of the board of directors of AETYB (Spanish tuba and euphonium association) helping to encourage and promote these instruments in Spain.
