Jeff Antoniuk
Recording Artist and Educator, D.C.

Jeff Antoniuk is an internationally respected jazz composer and saxophonist whose concerts and recordings are consistently well received by critics. His CD’s with The Jazz Update and The MARS 4-tet have been lauded by jazz critics around the world, who note his exceptional compositions and peerless technique. A dedicated teaching artist, Antoniuk is the Artistic Director of the Maryland Summer Jazz summer workshop, as well as both Jazz Band Masterclass and inDepth Jazz Clinics on the east coast. He is also a Master Teaching Artist with Washington Performing Arts in the nations capitol. Through WPA and the Capitol Jazz Project (in conjunction with Jazz at Lincoln Center and Wynton Marsalis), Antoniuk shares jazz, improvisation and the saxophone with thousands of school age children every year. For decades, Antoniuk has shared the stage with jazz and R&B names, ranging from Ray Charles, Najee and David Foster to Marcus Miller, Jimmy Haslip and Ingrid Jensen. “I’ve been playing the typical great vintage horns for over 25 years, and this is the first time I’ve been compelled to put them down. The 52nd Street tenor is beyond comfortable. Congrats to Eastman for finally coming up with an affordable horn that sounds like New York City in 1958!”
