Sonja Reynolds
Performing Artist, Educator, Clinician

Author of the Structured Studio, a structured curriculum and guide to teaching private french horn lessons, Sonja Reynolds has twenty seven years of horn teaching experience, including nine years at The Music School and over twenty years with the American Fork band programs. She is best known for running a successful studio of forty private students, student teachers, and "grandstudents" (waiting list). She marched with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and completed a horn performance degree at Brigham Young University. Sonja has studied under such well-known instructors as Dr. Ellen Powley, Dr. Randy Faust, Laurence Lowe and Ronald Beitel.

Sonja is in demand as an instructor, freelance artist, clinician, and adjudicator throughout Utah and the Mountain West. She has presented at two International Horn Symposiums, multiple universities, and has provided many clinics throughout the country.

She is a member of the Utah Premiere Brass (President; solo tenor horn, 12 years; manager, 10 years), and is a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square, and an active freelance artist in the Salt Lake area.

In addition to having students selected to attend the Interlochen Arts Camp, many of Sonja's students have received college music scholarships at schools such as the San Francisco Conservatory, are regularly accepted to All State, and are themselves pursuing careers in music.

Her greatest accomplishments call her Mom.
